It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.
Mine is one of discovery and adventure. One that takes me to different corners of the world to wake up in places that are yet unknown to me.
I see people live, laugh, and love, and I live with them, I laugh with them, and I love them - the colours of their clothes, their houses, the soil they stand upon, the smell of their food, the markets, the flowers that greet them at dawn, and the sounds of their drums, their steps, the rivers they dance along.
You showed me beauty, joy, and happiness, without even knowing it. You extended my senses to experience the world, like I never did before. And do you want to know what it feels like?
COME WITH ME!
… to explore and embrace different ways of life, trying to live like the locals do - it can be difficult to make it right immediately, but then, try again! - Cook some rice in a bamboo stick. Attend a Mayan ceremony. Dance with your body and soul. Swim with cows. Meditate before sunrise. Get advice from a local shaman. Learn a language. Get lost. Challenge your tastebuds with new cuisines. Hug trees. Explore colourful markets. Listen to stories shared around campfires. Experience a street art treasure hunt. Make friends with hyenas, and what not.
As a traveller on the road of life, I am always learning when journeying. As much as I like to explore places, I also like to travel inwards to grow, mainly through reiki and meditation.
On a more serious note...
I am a social-minded writer, documentary filmmaker, photographer, and reiki practitioner with a passion for people, transformative travel, arts and culture, yoga and meditation, indigenous wisdom and traditions, and culinary experiences. I have had the chance to live in a couple of countries including Belgium, the UK, Indonesia, Rwanda, and Guatemala, and travel extensively. Since travelling to me is all about passing through someone else's reality, I enjoy experiencing new places the way the locals do. This is reflected in my work as I try to give people their own voice. When it comes to my education, I have studied Cultural Studies and Social Anthropology at the University of Kent, and, in 2014, graduated with an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. I have a filmmaker's diploma (diplôme du cinéaste) from Raindance Brussels. I am fluent in French, English, and Armenian, and proficient in Portuguese, Spanish, and Dutch.
